Who says Halloween treats can’t be healthy?

Ingredients for 2 jars (approx. 32 portions):
420 g Pumpkin purée (Butternut, Squash)
70 g brown sugar
3 tbsp. ground cinnamon
2 tsp. ground ginger
2 tsp. nutmeg
1 ½ tsp. ground allspice
1 ½ tsp. ground cloves
1/2 tsp. salt
Procedure:
Peel and cut the pumpkin in large cubs, boil/steam it until soft (approx. 30 minutes).
Then blend the cooked pumpkin until you obtain a smooth consistency.
Place pumpkin purée, brown sugar, pumpkin spices and salt in a saucepan and cook over medium heat for about 20 minutes while stirring occasionally. Transfer to a sterile, airtight jar, let cool and use as needed as a spread on toast, in oatmeal or even in your latte to turn it into a pumpkin spice latte!
